The painting of Thangka below took me a week to finish, and it is also my first painting with such unique experiences.

A thangka, variously spelled as thangka, tangka, thanka, or tanka, is a Tibetan Buddhist painting on cotton, silk appliqué, usually depicting a Buddhist deity, scene, or mandala.

Here is a collection of all Thangka paintings that were done by students during the Shangri-La trip. They are definitely AMAZING!

Except for the traditional objects usually painted in Thangka, we tried something different and creative. I have done the painting of Mondrian's tree on the right hand side. My friend, Rain, also chose to paint a tree, and her painting is on the left hand side.

Here is a photo with my Thangka teacher on the final day of my Shangri-La tirp!
